SOUTHERN HOLIDAY // ARTIST PROSPECTUS

The organizers of Southern Holiday are inviting you to submit work to our three day, multi-location event, May 22nd, 23rd, and 24th across three different venues in Charlotte, NC: DuggDugg, Honeycomb Hideout, and Area 15.  The event features artists whose work does not fit within the constraints of the typical gallery environment. The organizers of Southern Holiday urge you to take risks, reach out, and not send us bullshit.

We also want to facilitate new connections between people working in the dark corners of Charlotte (or whichever town you may be from!) so that collaborative and interactive projects like this one continue to surface and have a place to do so.

Our roster currently consists of video/film artists, collaborative installation-based work, experimental music, dance performance, a circus, workshops in sustainable living and container architecture, a live iron pour, and more we’ve yet to imagine. Please check out the website for our mission statement and links to other projects we’ve been inspired by.
